A. Media & Storage Access

To provide photo cleaning, duplicate detection, and storage management, SnapSweep requests permission to access your device's media library:

• Photos & Videos: Read access to analyze photo metadata and attributes (e.g., blurry images, duplicates, screenshots, large video files, and content tags like travel, food, documents, and pets).
• Storage Metrics: Total and available device storage statistics to calculate reclaimed space.

Privacy Guarantee: All photo analysis, duplicate detection, and machine learning categorizations are executed 100% locally on your device. SnapSweep does not upload, transfer, host, or back up your media to any external servers or cloud services.

B. Technical & Performance Diagnostics

We may collect anonymized system diagnostics to ensure app stability:

• Device Information: Hardware model, operating system version, and system language settings.
• App Performance Data: Anonymized crash reports and execution logs to fix bugs and improve performance.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use on-device permissions solely to deliver core app functions:

• Storage Analysis & Grouping: Grouping photos by Date Taken, App Origin, or content type.
• User-Initiated Deletions: Moving selected files to the "Recently Deleted" folder or permanently purging them per your explicit command.
• Local Reminders: Triggering optional local notifications when unused media or screenshots accumulate.
• Interactive Feedback: Providing tactile haptic feedback during swipe-to-clean interactions.

3. Data Retention & Recently Deleted Trash

• 30-Day Trash Retention: Media moved to the "Recently Deleted" queue remains stored locally on your device for up to 30 days (or your custom configured retention period) before automatic permanent purging.
• Instant Restoration: You may restore any queued photo back to your media library at any time during the grace period.

4. App Permissions Overview

SnapSweep does not knowingly collect or solicit personal data from children under 13. Because all media processing occurs locally on your device, no user content is harvested or transmitted.

7. Your Data Rights & Choices

• Revoke Access: You can modify or revoke photo and notification permissions at any time in your device's System Settings.
• Data Control: You maintain total authority over which photos are retained or permanently erased.
• Uninstalling: Uninstalling SnapSweep clears all temporary app cache and internal settings from your device.
