No External Tracking: We do not use third-party analytics, tracking SDKs, or ad networks to monitor your usage.

2. Data Handled On Your Device & Local Network

To deliver local peer-to-peer functionality, the app processes the following data locally on your network:

Local Network Identifying Info: Local IP addresses and chosen display nicknames are broadcasted locally over Network Service Discovery (NSD) or UDP to discover nearby peers on the same Wi-Fi connection.
Chat Messages & Shared Media: Transmitted directly over encrypted socket connections between connected peer devices.
Local Storage: All chat logs, settings, and media files are stored strictly on your local device storage using encrypted database mechanisms.

3. Device Permissions Used

P2P Connect requests specific Android permissions solely to enable core features:

Local Network / Wi-Fi Access: Required to discover local peers, open communication sockets, and transfer messages/files directly.
Camera Permission: Required only when scanning a peer's QR code to initiate local device pairing.
Storage / Media Access: Required to pick and send images, documents, or media files to connected local peers.

4. Data Security

We prioritize local data security through technical safeguards:

Local Database Encryption: Chat logs stored locally are protected using encrypted local storage engines.
Encrypted Transfers: Peer-to-peer communication channels utilize cryptographic key exchanges (ECDH / AES encryption) to prevent local network packet interception.

5. Data Control & Deletion

Since all data resides on your device, you retain full ownership and control:

You can delete individual messages, peer pairings, or chat logs directly within the app at any time.
Clearing the app’s data or uninstalling the app permanently erases all local database records and stored files.
