Summary: Hubit! is an offline-first, local network utility for Android TV. We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell your personal data or file contents to external cloud servers. All file transfers, clipboard synchronization, and media management remain strictly on your local private Wi-Fi network.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Hubit! ("we", "our", or "the application") handles your information when you use our Android TV application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency in all our functionalities.
2. Data Collection and Usage
Hubit! operates under strict privacy-by-design principles:
- No Personal Data Collection: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, location data, or device identifiers.
- No External Server Uploads: Files, URLs, IPTV playlists, and clipboard texts transferred through The Bridge or The Fetcher are processed locally on your device or across your local Wi-Fi network (LAN) only.
- No Analytics or Ad Tracking: Hubit! does not embed third-party advertising SDKs, behavioral analytics trackers, or user profiling trackers.
3. Device Permissions and How They Are Used
To provide file management, download acceleration, and local transfer capabilities on Android TV, Hubit! requests only necessary system permissions:
- INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE Used exclusively to connect to the URLs you explicitly choose to download via The Fetcher, load user-provided IPTV playlists, and host the local Web Bridge server on your local Wi-Fi router.
- READ / WRITE EXTERNAL STORAGE (or MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE on supported Android TV OS versions) Used strictly to save downloaded files, APK packages, videos, and music into your designated storage partition or USB drives, and to display your TV file browser.
- REQUEST_INSTALL_PACKAGES Used only when you initiate the installation of an APK application package downloaded or transferred to your TV.
- FOREGROUND_SERVICE Used to maintain active multi-thread download jobs and optional scheduled memory maintenance tasks in the background without unexpected interruption.
4. The Bridge (Local Web Service)
When you enable The Bridge feature, Hubit! launches a lightweight HTTP web server embedded directly on your Android TV device:
- The server is accessible only by devices connected to the same local Wi-Fi or LAN subnet.
- No traffic is routed through external relay servers or public internet proxies.
- Clipboard text and uploaded files sent from your phone or PC are written directly to your local Android TV storage.
5. Data Retention & User Control
All data saved by Hubit! (such as download history, clipboard logs, and IPTV channel bookmarks) is stored locally within the application database. You have full control at all times to:
- Clear download history and tasks.
- Delete clipboard history logs.
- Delete residual APK installation packages via the 1-Click Cleaner.
- Reset all application settings and data via Settings > Reset Application Data.
- Uninstall the application at any time to automatically erase all application data.
6. Children's Privacy
Hubit! does not target children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect any personal identifiable information from children or any other users.
7. Google Play Policy Compliance
Hubit! adheres to the Google Play Developer Program Policies, including the User Data Policy, Permissions Policy, and Family Policies. The application requests only permissions essential for its core utility features and does not perform hidden background tracking.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
