ClipVault is designed with an offline-first philosophy:

• Clipboard History & Snippets: All text, links, notes, colors, and code snippets you copy or save are stored strictly on your device using a local secure database (Room).
• No Cloud Sync of Sensitive Data: We do not upload, transmit, or store your clipboard history, passwords, or personal snippets onto any external cloud servers or remote databases maintained by us. Your data remains entirely under your control on your device.

3. Third-Party Services & SDKs

To support application functionality, analytics, and maintenance, ClipVault integrates selected Google Firebase and AdMob services:

• Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics: Used anonymously to track app performance, usage statistics, and crash reports to help us fix bugs and improve user experience.
• Firebase Remote Config: Used to deliver configuration updates and manage feature flags securely.
• Google AdMob: Used to display polite, non-intrusive banner advertisements to support app maintenance. AdMob may collect standard device identifiers and usage data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

4. Permissions

ClipVault may request specific device permissions strictly required for its features:

• Foreground Service / Notifications: To maintain clipboard listening service and export/import backups when requested by you.
• Internet Access: Required solely for fetching remote configuration updates and displaying advertisements via Google AdMob.

5. Data Security

We implement robust security practices to protect your information. Because your primary clipboard data resides locally on your device, its security is also bolstered by your device's built-in operating system security features.

6. Children's Privacy

ClipVault does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.
